SCU Places Third in Solar Decathlon

20009-team1Santa Clara University placed third overall in this year’s national Solar Decathlon competition. It was part of a two year project in which SCU collaborated with The California College of the Arts to build the best solar home. Universities from all over the world competed in the competition. The top 20 were on display in The National Mall in Washington, D.C. Pacific Solar Radiant, Inc. acted as their technical advisor and did design review for the thermal systems. They helped to build the mechanical room and assembled some of the piping.
